Community Outreach

Beginning in 1988 with a drug awareness program, the FBI has expanded its outreach efforts to include crime, drugs, gangs, terrorism, and violence prevention. Linking community service, drug-abuse prevention, and law enforcement is a major national trend as grass-root efforts have brought about federal government support for public safety initiatives. FBI employees have joined in this national movement, volunteering in a wide variety of community-related efforts.

The Norfolk Division offers speakers for groups throughout the community on a variety of topics, including:

  • Terrorism
  • Violent Crime
  • Organized Crime and Drugs
  • Frauds and Scams
  • Identity Theft
  • Hate Crimes/Civil Rights
  • Victim Assistance
  • Becoming an Agent
Please note: Requests for speakers must be received by the Norfolk FBI a minimum of six weeks prior to your presentation date. All requests are subject to availability.  Online Speaker Request Form
