MARCH MEMBERSHIP MEETING

FBI CAAA Members,

Hello everybody! Hope everyone and their families are doing well. It is time for our March Membership Meeting, which is on March 21, 2023, at 6:00 pm.

Our speaker for the evening is Special Agent (SA) Christopher Forvour, FBI-Norfolk Field Office who will talk about violent crimes in Hampton Roads and the FBI"s role in supporting the police departments in the area. 

Special Agent (SA) Forvour entered on duty with the FBI in September 2001. From 2002 through 2007, SA Forvour was assigned to the San Francisco Field Office, HQS City and the Oakland Resident Agency, where he worked a variety of Public Corruption investigations. While assigned to the San Francisco Field Office, SA Forvour became an Assistant Team Leader of the FBI's SWAT team and a firearms instructor.

In 2007, SA Forvour was transferred to the Washington Field Office, Northern Virginia Resident Agency, where he worked violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, both within the United States and overseas. During this time, he founded the International Foreign Bribery Taskforce with City of London Police, Australian Federal Police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

          In 2013, SA Forvour was re-assigned to working Public Corruption in Northern Virginia where he investigated corrupt Virginia Department of Transportation employees engaged in a multimillion-dollar kickback scheme involving the issuance of snowplow contracts.

           In 2016, SA Forvour was transferred to the San Juan Field Office, St. Thomas Resident Agency, where he investigated Transnational Organized Crime and Gangs.

In 2021, SA Forvour was transferred to the Norfolk Field Office where he remains working Transnational Organized Crime as part of the Tidewater Violent Crimes Taskforce, comprised of federal, state, and local investigators.

SA Forvour was born and raised in Haddon Township, New Jersey. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Bucknell University in 1996 and then worked for Merrill Lynch. Prior to joining the FBI, SA Forvour worked for the Central Intelligence Agency. SA Forvour is a Certified Public Accountant.
